The Snowman and The Snowdog
The Snowman™ and The Snowdog – Film
30 years after the original film, John Coates felt that the time was right to create a second film and as such, The Snowman and The Snowdog was born.
Keen to keep with the original hand drawn style of The Snowman, Hilary Audus and Joanna Harrison again brought their expertise to the project and along with producers Camilla Deakin and Ruth Fielding and the team at Lupus Films created the charming sequel that premiered on Channel 4 on the 30th anniversary of the original film in 2012.
Alongside The Snowman came a brand new character in the form of The Snowdog, whose mismatched socks for ears and a satsuma for a nose captured the hearts of the nation and saw a staggering 20% of the UK population watch The Snowman and The Snowdog over the Christmas period.
